MSI K9A2 Platinum – motherboard – ATX – Socket AM2+ – AMD FX Overview – CNET
This is not conducive to 32bit users. Perhaps you’ll be able to resolve this in future updates to the source. I tried all of the above. Unfortunately the source to the t3sas driver which is needed for that particular controller will not compile against the 2. The two AMD chipsets generate a moderate amount of heat, but this totally silent thermal solution is better than using a bunch of little noisy fans.
Chipset fans have a bad habit of failing over time, or becoming hopelessly clogged with dust.
I am now installing using the ubuntu alternate install. A clever solution for sure, and one that most motherboard manufacturers have embraced as a quiet way of managing the heat from chipsets. I started by getting the driver compiled on a supported kernel 2. Does anyone know the correct driver to use, j9a2 if that particular controller is supported at this time?

MSI have assembled the K9A2 Platinum motherboard with entirely conductive polymer aluminum solid capacitors. For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration.
During the install, after the network is initialized, I go to another VT and copy my driver over to the modules dir where the install uses to detect the RAID controller. Might as well since I am familiar with the source now.

The time now is I had pretty much given up on the idea of using those two ports. Remember, I am not the original maintainer, I simply gave up on finding a solution to the problem and dug into the source code. Rakd a lot for your effort though.
